sometimes I think about...
When I make score and parts, I have to decide which chord or note is easier for the performer or conductors to read.
1. Chord name
Which one is the best, "C♭maj7" or "Bmaj7"?
Of course it's "Bmaj7", isn't it? I can write "Bmaj7", but I'm wondering what to do when "Bmaj7" is not preferable from the viewpoint of music theory.
I'm not sure which one to take, but I try not to write "C♭chords" or "E# chords" etc. as such as possible.
2. Note
It's the same as the chord name,
I try not to write notes such as "C♭” or notes with double sharp or double flat.
Sometimes, it may be a little uncomfortable for the conductor to read...
Anyway, it's difficult decision for me!!
Comment
All 4 songs are high level for performance, I guess.
I think "Miss You" is especially easy to play than the other 3 songs.
Some my band members said that it's ”Ko Ko Ro”!!😄
”Ko Ko Ro” is from Latin Feel switch to Rock Feel, so it will be excited!!
By the way,
”Miss You” is 6/8 Even eight's note, 😀
”Le Ciel Bleu” is 3/4 Swing🙂
and ”Black Ham-Ham” is mixed time signature Even eight's note.😅
I hope you play in your band, if you are interested in my songs!!
Thank you for reading✨
