Here you’ll find a selection of original compositions and arrangements for big band, piano solo, and piano duet.  I compose and arrange original works and jazz standards for various ensemble settings and musical styles.

Jazz Orchestra / Big Band

This section features a variety of big band works, including original compositions, jazz standard arrangements, and flexible scores.

Original Compositions

Compositions featured on the Sakiko Masuda Jazz Orchestra album and other original big band pieces.

Arrangements

Big band charts of jazz standards and pop songs, commissioned by publishers and ensembles.

Flexible Scores

Arrangements written for smaller instrumentation (6 horns + percussion), ideal for school bands or compact ensembles.

Piano Solo

This section features a variety of solo piano works, from original compositions to jazz-style arrangements of jazz standards and traditional songs.

Original Compositions

These include pieces featured on the Sakiko Masuda Piano Solo album, known for their lyrical melodies and refined jazz harmonies.

Arrangements

Jazz standards arranged for intermediate to advanced solo piano, as well as jazz-style arrangements of classical pieces, pop songs, and traditional songs (such as nursery rhymes).

 

Sheet Music Collection

Includes Mario de Jazz, a collection published by Yamaha Music Media (now possibly out of print), originally created upon request.

Piano Duet

This section features piano duet arrangements of familiar and well-loved songs, arranged to be accessible and enjoyable while staying true to the original character of the music.

They are designed to be fun and rewarding to perform at recitals and concerts.

Arrangements

Most of these duets are based on music from Studio Ghibli films, with the first part arranged at a beginner level and the second at an intermediate level.
